Ptosis Correction
Ptosis correction by board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic surgery. Over 25 years experience. Dr. Pongsak Clinic, Hua Hin.
Ptosis is a condition where the levator muscle that lifts the upper eyelid becomes weak, causing the eyelid to droop and cover the eye. This makes you look tired or sleepy, makes the eyes appear smaller, and may obstruct vision.
It can be congenital (present from birth) or acquired due to aging or previous eyelid surgery.
Treatment involves surgically strengthening the levator muscle (levator advancement), taking approximately 1 hour under local anesthesia.
